At Bright Start, our staff is dedicated to helping your child build the best foundation for their future. We focus on pre-academics as well as the social and physical growth of every child. We believe that children should be nurtured and supported in their early childhood educational experience so they may obtain confidence and pride outside the home. Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices we meet each child at their current level and help build their foundation from there. We practice positive modeling, encouraging reinforcement, and consistent classroom rules. Parents are an integral part of the learning process, and we will work as a team to meet the needs of your children. We Love February!

We’re moving from January’s snow and wintery activities to friendship and fun for February! There are a lot of festive things planned for the first half of the month as we prepare for our Valentine’s Day Party. We will end the month with discovery of the past! Thank you for your continued support and trusting us with your wonderful children!

Hearts, love, and friendship will be our focus the first half of this month! We will work with sorting, matching, and patterns using hearts for our math unit. Our letters for the month will be Q, R, S, T, U and V. The second half of the month we will change our focus to the past. The kids will become paleontologists as we explore everything about dinosaurs!

Parent’s Night Out

Looking for some alone time for an early Valentine’s Day? Have your kids join us for a special “Night at the Museum” evening! We will have many “museum” themed activities, food, movies, and fun! Cost is $25/child from 6-10 p.m.


Valentine’s Day Party

Our party will be on Thursday, February 13th. We will have ice cream sundaes and exchange valentines to celebrate the day. (Please send signed only Valentines to share).

Before and After Care Announcements

Parent’s Night Out – February 7th 

Join us for a spectacular “Night at the Museum” themed Parent’s Night Out!  Have your kids come in (or bring) their pajamas from 6pm-10pm for a fun filled “museum” themed evening.  Cost is $25/child, siblings welcome!

School Day Off

Please remember to bring a full, leak-proof water bottle, snacks, lunch, and anything they may need for the day!

Friday, February 14th - LPES and PWES

Pancake, Pajama and Polo Day - Join us for our “P” themed Valentine SDO!  We will have pancakes for a special snack while lounging in our pajamas.  Later we will have some games starting with the letter P!

Monday, February 17th - Everyone

*Hours are 6:30 am - 6 pm for this School Day Off

Sonic the Hedgehog - Bright Start will have a special viewing of Sonic the Hedgehog!  We will depart at 9:00am and travel to Castle Rock for this special event.  If you would like for your child to have a kidspack (small popcorn, small candy, and drink) please send $5.  We will return to Bright Start around 12:30.

Jump into January

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with their families! We are looking forward to a great new year beginning with a focus on snow. We are so excited to start this new year with these amazing kids!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Creating a winter wonderland and exploring all things snow will be the January goal! Our classroom will turn into an arctic retreat including an igloo, ice skating, snow, and penguins.  We will work on the letters O, P, Q, and R. We will also explore one-to-one relationships and sequencing.
