At Bright Start, our staff is dedicated to helping your child build the best foundation for their future. We focus on pre-academics as well as the social and physical growth of every child. We believe that children should be nurtured and supported in their early childhood educational experience so they may obtain confidence and pride outside the home. Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices we meet each child at their current level and help build their foundation from there. We practice positive modeling, encouraging reinforcement, and consistent classroom rules. Parents are an integral part of the learning process, and we will work as a team to meet the needs of your children. We look forward to learning with you, because great futures begin with a Bright Start!

A December to Remember

The next few weeks will be very exciting as we celebrate friendship, family, and fun! We have a lot of surprises ahead so don’t worry if your little “elves” aren’t sharing too much!

December will feature many special activities as we prepare for the holidays! There are a lot of “little things” that we can’t share yet! We will explore tree trimming, elves, trains, Whoville and the spirit of giving. The letters L, M, and N are our focus for December. We will celebrate our holiday party on Thursday, December 19th with a pajama party!

Elf Day

On December 4th, we will have an elf day in celebration of our classroom elf, Jingles! Dress as your favorite elf as we enjoy some special elf treats throughout the week.

Parent’s Night Out!

Plan on doing some holiday shopping or just take time for yourselves! We will have pizza, crafts, activities, and tons of fun! Cost is $25/child (siblings are also welcome to attend) and open to all of our families. December 7th 6:00-10:00.

Holiday Whoobie Whatty?

Join us on December 10th as we transform Bright Start into Whoville. Dress as your favorite How The Grinch Stole Christmas characters!

Holiday Party

Our holiday party will be on Thursday, December 19th. Everyone is welcome to join us (you may switch days if Thursday is not your child’s regular day). We will end our Polar Express Unit with a pajama day for the party!

Before and After Care Announcements

School Days Off

Please remember to bring a full, leak-proof water bottle, snacks, a disposable lunch and appropriate clothing as we will be heading out to surrounding parks on any days that the weather agrees with us as well as to the gym. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible.

We will be on holiday hours from December 20th-January 3rd: 7:00-6:00.

Reminder that we are closed 1December 23rd-27th and January 1st for family holiday celebrations!

Friday, December 20 - Everyone

Ugly Sweater/Cookie Decorating - Lets get our holiday cheer started as we show off our favorite seasonal sweater and decorate our own cookie before we indulge!

Monday, December 30 - Everyone

Toy Story Day - Bring your favorite toy and dress as your favorite Toy Story character! We will have a fun filled day featuring the Toy Story movies.

Tuesday, December 31 - Everyone

Hours: 7:00-12:00

Kid’s Choice - All of our favorite activities will be available for this short day as we prepare to bring in the New Year!

Thursday, January 2 - Everyone

Sports Day - We will spend the day doing all sports themed activities! Feel free to represent your favorite sport, athlete, or team!

Friday, January 3 - Everyone

Movie/Pajama Day - Today will be filled with movies, games, relaxing, and FUN!

Monday, January 6 - Everyone

Denver Museum of Nature and Science - We will try again for our Pixar exhibit adventure! Hopefully the weather cooperates this time!

Monday, January 20 - Everyone

Spies in Disguise! We’ll be taking a trip to the movies to see Spies in Disguise. Stay tuned for new clues and details.
