At Bright Start, our staff is dedicated to helping your child build the best foundation for their future. We focus on pre-academics as well as the social and physical growth of every child. We believe that children should be nurtured and supported in their early childhood educational experience so they may obtain confidence and pride outside the home. Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices we meet each child at their current level and help build their foundation from there. We practice positive modeling, encouraging reinforcement, and consistent classroom rules. Parents are an integral part of the learning process, and we will work as a team to meet the needs of your children. Health and Safety Closures

UPDATE: Due to Colorado Governor Polis’ stay-at-home order we will remain closed through April 11th. We will announce plans to reopen as soon as possible. For now, please stay safe and reach out if you need any support!

Bright Start Families,

In accordance with the El Paso County school districts and the community at large, Bright Start will be closed Monday March 16th through March 27th to help mitigate the possible spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. This was a very difficult decision to make as we understand the impact this will have on several of our families. We are actively trying to do our part to help keep everyone healthier and safer through this time.

We are working closely with the Colorado Department of Health and Human Services as we make preparations to reopen. Our website will be updated with information as soon as new information is available.

More than anything, the safety and wellbeing of our staff, kids and families are the basis for all of our decisions. If you or anyone you know needs assistance in finding additional resources, please let us know.

Spring into March

 As we spring into March we will have a fun filled month of colors, rainbows, and dreams of pots of gold. Thank you for allowing us to spend this time with your wonderful children!

In March we will be focusing on primary and secondary colors, rainbows, and Dr. Seuss. The first week will be filled with Seussical fun!  We will create our own classroom rainbow and explore the magic of mixing colors.  There might even be a fun visit from a Leprechaun!  The remaining letters of the alphabet will be introduced.

  • Spring Break – March 23rd-27th

Dr. Seuss Day

On Tuesday, March 3rd we will dress up as our favorite Dr. Seuss characters as we have a fun filled nonsensical Seussical day!

Spring Break March 23rd – 27th 

Preschool will be closed for Spring Break.  We will have our childcare portion available if you still need care.  For those who still plan to attend please let us know the days you plan to come as space will be limited, especially on the field trip days.

Friday, March 6 - LPES and PWES

Fun Fiesta Friday! Ole!  We will make our own nachos for snack, have a piñata and a spectacular SDO!

Spring Break – Everyone all week!

Monday, March 23rd

Sports Day! Support your favorite team/player today while we enjoy many different sports activities.

Tuesday, March 24th

We will depart to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science at 9:00 a.m. for a tour of the interactive Pixar exhibit. It is sure to be a blast!

Wednesday, March 25th

Onward! Bright Start will depart at 9:00 a.m. for our special viewing of the new movie, Onward. Kids Packs (small popcorn, drink, and candy) are available.

Thursday, March 26th

It’s a magical Disney Day! There will be Disney fun all day. Dress as your favorite Disney character!

Friday, March 27th

We will end our busy week with a movie marathon. It’ll be a relaxing day with movies, popcorn, and pajamas!
