At Bright Start, our staff is dedicated to helping your child build the best foundation for their future. We focus on pre-academics as well as the social and physical growth of every child. We believe that children should be nurtured and supported in their early childhood educational experience so they may obtain confidence and pride outside the home. Using Developmentally Appropriate Practices we meet each child at their current level and help build their foundation from there. We practice positive modeling, encouraging reinforcement, and consistent classroom rules. Parents are an integral part of the learning process, and we will work as a team to meet the needs of your children. Falling for October!

  What an amazing start we have had to our school year! This is such a wonderful group of kids and we are grateful you have chosen to have them here with us. We are looking forward to a fun-filled month!

October will be filled with a lot of adventures and focused learning. Pumpkins, ghosts, and spiders, oh my! We will be creating plenty of fun and amazing Halloween creatures. The letters we will focus on are D, E, F, G and H. Math will feature matching and sequencing. Even though the fire stations are closed to the public and we can’t take our firehouse trip, we will be learning important lessons in fire safety. We are very excited that the Pumpkin Patch is open so we can do our annual field trip!

Colorado Pumpkin Patch

We will be heading to the Colorado Pumpkin Patch on Thursday October 8th! The group will leave Bright Start at 9:00 am and return at 12:00 pm. The cost for this field trip is $10/child and will include a small pumpkin to take home. If this is not your child’s usual day you are welcome to switch days this week to join us. Snack will be provided! Bright Start kids only for this field trip please.

Halloween Party!

On Thursday, October 29th we will celebrate Halloween with a party! Please have your preschool student come in their costume. We will be making trick-or-treat bags so no need to send those. Snack will also be provided for the party.

Preschool Closures 

There will not be preschool class on October 15th and 19th due to District 38 closures.
